The benefits of essential oils are numerous as are the benefits of breathwork. So why not use the two together? Integrating essential oils with your breathwork or meditation practice is good for so many reasons.
Both essential oils and breathwork provide benefits to your physical, mental, emotional, and even spiritual health and wellbeing. When you use essential oils with breathwork, you can enhance those benefits.
In this video I share a few ways to use essential oils with your breathwork practice by choosing oils that align with your intention. Oils have specific properties that support specific emotions and states of being.
If your intention for your breathwork session is to calm the mind and reduce stress, then floral oils like lavender, rose, ylang ylang and roman chamomile are wonderful to diffuse or apply topically as they are calming oils.
If your intention is to feel energized and uplifted, then citrus oils are great because they promote positive feelings. Peppermint is good because it’s energizing.
