Benefits of Lavender Essential Oil for Skin, Stress, and Sleep

Lavender essential oil is one of my most favorite essential oils. I use it daily in my skin care and in epsom salt baths.

Lavender is known for it’s soothing and calming properties. That’s what makes it such a good choice for calming inflamed, red, or irritated skin. You can add a drop to your lotion or to a carrier oil, such as jojoba or coconut oil.

Lavender is also great for calming your mind. If you’re feeling stressed or anxious, adding lavender oil to an epsom salt bath is a great way to unwind and calm down. It’s also great to diffuse in your home at the end of the work day.

For those who have a difficult time falling asleep, lavender may help by calming the mind and relaxing the body. Simply diffuse lavender in your bedroom or put a couple drops of lavender on your pillow. You can also try rubbing a couple drops of lavender on the bottoms of your feet.
