Delicious Paleo Custard

nutrition Mar 17, 2015

Every now and then, I get in the mood for something sweet. Don’t we all? As a Digestive Health Coach and one who follows a Paleo Diet, I’m not going to get my sweet fix from processed, gluten-filled cakes, pies, or cookies.

However, that doesn’t mean I have to deprive myself. Instead, I make my own healthy desserts with real ingredients. In my opinion, they taste just as good, if not better, and they don’t leave you feeling bloated and tired later on.

This paleo custard is the perfect option if you want something light and sweet for a snack or dessert. It contains no refined sugar, no dairy, no grains, and it uses just a small amount of raw honey to sweeten it up. It could even make a good breakfast since it’s full of healthy fat and protein!

I love to cook, but I don’t want to be in the kitchen all day. This recipe uses only 5 ingredients, and it’s super easy to make. Total prep time is about 10 minutes, and your family will love it. My husband is obsessed with this dessert.

You can serve it warm or refrigerate it for a cold version. I personally think it’s better chilled. Give it a try and see what you think!
