If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about my personal health journey and struggles, then this is an interview you don’t want to miss. Paul and I discuss everything from digestive issues and FMT (fecal microbiota transplants) to stress and mindfulness.
Paul is the founder of Health Geeks. He believes that better health has the power to lead to a more focused, fulling and energized life. Paul has a Bachelors of Science in exercise health science and a Doctorate in Chiropractic. He’s a cancer survivor, and has devoted his life to helping people live stronger, healthier lives using ancestral health principles and functional medicine.
For me, I started experiencing digestive issues back in college and they worsened over the years. No doubt being in a high stress work environment—a career in pharmaceutical sales—made it worse. After seeing doctors, doing a lot of tests, and not seeing any change, I started doing my own research. I started with nutrition and the role of food and it evolved into learning about natural health and holistic health. Eventually, I left my corporate career and went back to school to study integrative nutrition and become a health coach. It was definitely my own health issues that inspired me to do that.
Since then, I’ve helped numerous clients heal their bodies, particularly around gut issues and adrenal fatigue, and I’ve learned a lot about my own body too.
We also discuss key components that I feel are critical to healing your body.
Listen in to the rest of my interview with Paul to find out where I am now in my health journey, and how I’ve finally gotten to a really good place (hint: it has to do with letting go!)
Thanks for listening! I’d love to know what your takeaways were and where you are in your own health journey. Let me know in the comments below.
